Greetings my brethren, my brothers and my fellow e-warriors.
It's about time I do a writeup on our home, our recent happenings, our future events, plans and our goals.... lots to summarise and outline!
Sitrep - Situation Report
It's 2010 and yes the clan has done it's usual ups and downs in terms of member population, attendance, annd participation........ but as we stand, we're functioning like a very busy hive of gamers.
Community - Hitting an average of 60-70 unique members per day definitely sets a cornerstone in the brotherhoods progress as a community. The participation on ventrilo has been as equally impressive with hordes of members playing across the fields of COD, HoN, BC2, and WoW, roughly 40-50 members
CoD - Call Of Duty 6 has kicked of in what I would describe as a reminisce of our battlefield days. The amount of participants and action happening per night is huge! Combined with a team being currently led by our leading COD6 shooter Kopta, I believe (db]]'s reputation has expanded once again into other gaming realms.
BC2 - Bad Company 2, I can't comment myself much because the lack of my involvement, but numbers and volumes speak on behalf of the capacity and impending success of our clan in this division. The amount of enthusiastic applicants we have rolling in, and concluding with the purchase of a new bc2 Delta Brotherhood server!
HoN - Heroes of Newerth, yes the rage-fest game has seeped its way back into the ranks of db. We're seeing an influx of CoD players participate in this soul sacrficing, patience tempering game.
Changes and Direction
Big news, big changes will be happening over the next couple of hours, days, months within the structure of the clan, and processes. With obvious best intentions for the clan. These changes which I am pushing across effective immediately will ensure we cater for the future growth of the clan as well as honour and recognise our actual competitive players.
(d1]] Tags.
This debate has gone back and forwards with numerous concerns regarding the possibility of segregation and so forth. We are moving forward with this intiative due to the amount of growth we are experiencing in the clan. Prestigious competitive members will have the honour of wearing these tags, and still yet be recognised as (db]] due to the bullet '( ]]' symbols.
This initiative will be outlined further by Bourne..
Recruitment Drive.
Expanding on the notion that competitive players in each division will wear (d1]] tags, we will be looking to further develop and expand our community through recruiting. Although this sounds like an easy opportunity for people to just jump on board with average skills, it definitely does not. We will NOT be dropping the bar, and we will be continually stringent on keeping the integrity of the clan to be a COMPETITIVE yet COMMUNITY like home for players with the same passion............ gaming.
Bourne and BoB our recruitment officers will be the gatekeepers to ensure we're not becoming a TOG-like clan.
Events
It's been awhile since we've done any events..... and with that being said all I can say to my brothers is keep an eye out for some future events that the seniors will be putting up. This will be a chance to score some free legit cd-keys or possibly some cash prizes!
Conclusion
Live the game, and be involved in the community.
Probationaries & Applicants - The efforts you guys put in to get involved with the community and your peers will increase your enjoyment with being around here, post your opinions on the forums, get some articles or threads up, have a chat to some guys vent, these actions will ensure people get to know you and you get on p's, or even off the p's if you're a probationary.
For those that are around, that lurk on the forums, this is your opportunity to get involved again with the clan! JUMP BACK INTO THE DEEP END!
